I think these look amazingly cool, but must be awkward as fuck to ride, anyone had first hand experience? Riding stance must be weird as compared to average street bike.

i've never ridden one, but i've sat on one, it's kinda of nice sitting stance you have your legs and hands out in front of you, but leaning backwards if that makes sense, i like it more than sitting on a crotch rocket type tbh

1st of all you must understand this kind of bike is only for show off, most of them costum like that are even for big meetings, fan fests, contests etc.
Suspensions are basicly non existent, so 10 minutes riding that bike will grant you a new ass. Driving position is shit, kuz your lean way back depending to much in ur arms strength. Turns are very hard as the back tire is to large and the distance of the foot pedal to the ground is basicly none. It has to be a Harley thus making the non existence suspension + engine vibrations a big head and back pain. Exaust pipes are hand made with no heat protection on the collectors which will lead to a burn after 10 minutes riding. i can go on but to be honest i dont like choppers, i just like that way they look.

sportsbikes are the best (yes i would know because i own one)

choppers are neat to look at but to actually ride they suck as DG explained

No offense dude, but wouldn't you need to own one of each to be qualified to answer the question of which is better? Not just one?

Maybe he hasnt but i had trails, a chopper, tourism, and last a couple of R ones

Trails are fun to drive, chopper are good looking, tourism is good for when you reach 50 years old, and R are full pump on the heart

I've been on lots of cruiser style bikes to know their handling sucks.

like dg said cruisers are ok for when youre too old to lean forward on a sportsbike which is normally like 50 yrs old. choppers are for reality shows watched by guys who will never ride a bike in their life and wear "KeWL CuLTuRE ChoPPeRZ" t-shirts from walmart with green flames on the sleeves and haven't a clue what makes a good bike.

Each there own. I want a bike one day. Cant justify the expense ATM with college. It will not be a crotch rocket thou, i've always like choppers.

Being 6 foot 4 240 lbs i dont want to try and squeeze my ass on a street bike. Bad knee's, back, and hip (military service. Not sucking dick/ taking it up the ass just to save those kinds of posts. Which will still happen anyways). Would rather ride in what i consider style/comfort on a chopper.

Everyone prefers something else thats why there's more then honda's on the market.

Yeah it's called American Chopper. It's basically just a drama shop.
