Folks do any of you know anything about digital cameras?

I'm after a fairly decent one budget is £200

I however have no clue it'll mostly be used for taking pictures of cars when we're out racing or whatever if that helps at all.

My dad has a really good one and asked him but the lens cost £800 so I stopped there :((. I would say a cannon camera http://www.canon.co.uk/Products_Solutions/index.asp my dads is pretty expensive and its heavy with a big lens since hes looking to sell photos and shit so he spent alot. But you can pickup a good one for around £200 he reckons, so check canon cameras out if you want good photos.

Ok so roughly $400, unless my conversion is wrong, I would recommened going with something from canon or nikon. They both have excellent lenses, a lot of cameras now are using plastic lenses which....suck. Canon and Nikons are known for good lenses. Something around 5+ megapixels will be fine. If you're looking to blow up your photos you'll want to get something with high megapixels, cause that and lenses are what judge the image quality. Optical zoom is something you'll want to look for as well, thats the zoom that won't degrade the quality of your image, digital zoom does. So the more optical zoom on the camera, the better. Fuji is also a really good brand, forgot to mention that. You get the most bang for your buck with them.

Here are a few I recommened:

Definetly the best deal for the price. Though if size is an issue and if you want something that can go in your pocket, I wouldn't recommened it.

I sold Digital Cameras for over a year at a previous job, so if you got any questions don't hesitate to ask.

He probably owns a SLR (single lense reflex) camera like a Canon Digital Rebel or something. Those are AMAZING cameras, it's what all the pros use. The lenses have their own processors in them, and are like 20x optical zoom, and are all interchangable. They're so nice. But ya...They're about $1000 us. The one he has is probably crazy though and way better than a rebel SLR.
