I have this heatsink/triple fan thing that I installed on my video card... and I just noticed the fans are sucking air into the video card. I can't fucking figure this out for myself right now...
Do I turn the fans around and have them blowing air OUT of the GPU or leave them sucking air IN?
Spit or Swallow????

well ive seen benchmarks that suggest blowing air out (away from the VC) is better cooling
Where is the fan on the top or is it one of these 2slot jobs? Ideally post what gfx card you have...probably give us a clue :P
I would say it's strange...not sure what my old GF5900 does....*checks*
Think it's blowing onto the card...its only small though and down facing...so in thoery the heat rises out of the heatsink instead which is all around the card.
Afaik it doesnt really matter as long as there's some sort of air circulation going.
doesn't matter, altho if it's a badly designed heatsink then it's better to have it blowing towards the heatsink

Its like an add-on to the video card, I took off the fan that sat on top of the card. Got a big heatsink on top of the card, a big one on the top, heat tubes running between them, and fans on the opposite of the AGP slot, between the heatsinks. I think I'm going to leave them blowing in.

i experienced a 15 degree improvement on cpu temp goeing from blowing on the heatsink to blowing out, but for gpu i doubt it would really make much of a difference with the setup you describe
