oO hl2 is no longer sold by vivendi etc (published) afaik seem to remember valve won their law suit because it blocked them selling via steam which ofc broke deal now only way to get it is via steam oO order online thats what i did never actually went out and bought the thing

asda has a Half Life 2 Game of the year edition box, at least in my store, comes with hl2 cs:source and Half Life source too.

Steam is a fucking joke, instead of trying to be fair, and reflecting the lesser cost of digital distribution in the cost, Valve decided to get as much money as they can out of it.
HL 2 Bronze is still $50 on steam for gods sake.

I dont really care about HL2 the game, I dont want yet another on the rails shooter, I wants CSS and DODS(and none of the retail packages come with DoD:S)

dods is like $19 on source oO and i think css is free dont know though i pre-ordered hl2 on steam worked out to be about £30

Do you enforce a rate minimum on yuor CS:S servers? Because I know I can't stand (along with my clan) trying to hit someone who has dodgy rates, when mine are correct by league standards.

we allow clans to setup servers however they like we just give you a base package and you set your own rates

there are plugins you can install though that will enforce fixed rates but most gsp's wont allow them to be installed.

our policy is you pay for a base server which is public and debranded by default anything you do after that is entirely upto you

What about Natural Selection?

One of coolest and nib-friendly NS servers, "The Alien Breeder" (http://www.fire-bursts.com/board/portal.php) just (today) went down, and there is large community to be taken over. Admin claims that whole NS is too old, too buggy and eats up far too much resources, so he decided to stop it in favour of CS servers with less then 1 player per day...
It was 30 slot server with average 14 players daily. Voice comms, many custom maps, few minor mods.

So I am wondering is it possible and how much would it eventually cost to have simmilar thingy on F-G.com ? Maybe community is desperated enuf to donate.
