Is a Hybrid viable now?

I am in the process of lomming my PPU to APU (I'm a better APU than PPU), but what with recent changes, is it possible to make a semi-decent hybrid without having to go down the DS route ('cos I don't have one...)?

I had thought about going for blessed buffs and like 1st heat / haz then something like energy beam. Or is it possible to get just basic buffs like a PE then stuff the rest into APU ?

Any advice ?

i had a kami hyb they pwnd but u needed 5 slot everything to be good and by the time i lost my 3rd 5 slot holy shelt that was enough for me.

New hyb's hmmm i played it for a while but didn't enjoy the holy nrg halo / blessed buffs.

The next patch will make it more viable but there is a hyb on pluto that pwns and the key is not holy nrg halo but psi attack 2 get a nice slotted one of them and u will pwn if u can bear with it.

and as for hybrids now: ya need a DS yeah ... and ya need to be capped ..

cause every point of extra ppw will come in handy, and what ya mean by viable ? in pvp ?

in pvm they still own yeah .. but pvp depends what setup ya want .. if ya want all blessed stuff then it will take long to kill someone cause of the small damage ya do ...

regular firehalo and holy poisonhalo are gimped when ya spec for em .. highest i can go with decent damage is the holy energy halo .. altough i didnt check for the psiattack2 yet like said above, wich i gonna check tonight

against buffed players the energyhalodamage is shit tough :/ even when DBed ..

anyways i keep trying .. and ya can always go regular shelter/ regular heal ... but then youre defense is pretty nerfed (and ya can always start switching PA's but i dont like that :/ )

I'm a little way off Cap yet - by the time I am done lomming, I will probably be back to about 91-92 PSI base.

I am not heavly into PvP, but do enjoy hunting for tech's etc. I would like ot be able to hunt like chasers etc and stand a chance of killing 'em without being melted, the way an APU would normally :D

Plus, as I have no other PPU's to run around with, I could use some defences to get me out of awkward spots :D

u'd have to nerf ur psi use to hack which would sting u a lot but u can spy 2 urself so that helps a little

Actually, I had only thought about hunting Fire Mobs. I normally don't go for Warbots at all. I don't like the idea of someone coming up behind me and ganking me while in hack - I'm not that trusting :D

So, as I don't have a DS, what lvl of APU / PPU should I go for? Ideally, I would like to be at Blessed Shelter level but not sure if I can ? I will have a go at making some PSI Attack 2's tonight as well - im sure out of a batch I can manage some decent slotted ones :)

core exp3,2,1 umm let me play with skillmanager when i get home cus ds is a big advantage i'm not sure how it would work out i had 95 psi after lomming and with a ds had 0 mana pool base and holy nrg halo and blessed buffs but with the req's coming down and i don't think psi attack 2 needs as much as holy nrg halo u should get better mana pool

very intresting, but instead of making a H.energyhalo 115, they can better make a regular firehalo 120 ... and holy poisonhalo 122 max ...

ideal would be: HeH: 115 regular firehalo: 118 H.poisonhalo: 120 :P

then ya still have a bit of PPW and ya can start doing normal damage ... as in ya can start feeling out the other persons resists with atleast 3 diffrent attacktypes ..

also the psiattack2spell : how much apu is it to use em ? then ya have 4 types :D

im a going to play with a skills manager as soon as i get net access sorted properly at home.

if i can get a high % on blessed defences i dont mind using a psi attack 2 and spamming to fuck with it or even a normal fire halo and spamming to fuck with it either way if i can get a viable hybrid then i will prolly do it on pluto

but i did duel him using my HL/holy defences hybrid after the BIG nerf patch

and i still won every single duel he never has been good never will be good not compared to the REALLY good hybrids :)

i just wish you guys could have seen me in the days of real hybrids.

on saturn there never was any good hybrid ... yust some classhoppers that liked the overpowerdness of the hybrid at times (HL + all holy shit+ parabeam/HP) ...

now as we speek there are yust a few hybrids on saturn ... 1 being myself

i saw divide's hybrid fighting yesterday in PP (monsoon) but he is yust a gimped apu that can heal emself and cast a regular shelter when he takes of he's apupa ... i dont say he's bad but then a apu and an PPU on a second account would be more viable ..

for the rest there are a few people lomming hybrid like ezza and a few people that would like to try out the new class ..

but to say that there are ownage hybrids on saturn ... NAH

Problem I have, is I just want something good for hunting mostly firemobs. I'm not a big PvP person = not very good (not bad, but not brilliant). A hybrid for me would just be something else I coudl go hunting on - at least until I get a DS anyways.
