tahts just mass shared hosting though :)

the dell's in mine are dedicated to nc only (in reality its 450 dell dual xeon servers in a few racks) the cisco stuff is for doing VoIP :)

roughly 15k times more processing power than all of nc's servers put together :)

Gonna get myself a new comp as soon as the first PCI Express card is released (weee) should be 1-2 months I hope.. birthday in 1 month so hopefully perfect timing

as i fi own 5 million quids worth of kit :) its a factory acceptance test rig of a clients setup so they can sign off before we can bring the rest of it in.

the FAT requires only 1/10th equipment setup so whats in them piccies is the mini version of what willl be te full version in about 8 months time :)

Personally I prefer steel over aluminium, it vibrates less, therefore less noise, therefore I will get to keep my hearing for a few years longer.

But less cooling problems with Amuminium. Steel retains heat more easily, where aluminium dissipates it faster.

Havent got too many noise issues myself. A little padding in the right places and its not an issue. Still, the fans make it sound like a damn jet engine sometimes so vibration noise is the least of my problems :P

was thinking about that myself. Seen a nice little standalone reservoir unit with all the shit built in (even with optional cooling for water reservoir!) but it was a bit pricey :(
Very cool peice of kit though, just a wee box like thing that would sit on top of your box and had all fancy little temperature readouts and controls n shit.

WHY OH WHY DOES ALL THE COOL SHIT COST SO MUCH MONEY!! :(

No photos coz I have no camera - but I did one mod. A harddrive bay with 80mm cooler coz my case don't support 2 hdds well and they were getting too hot IMO. So now it's impossible for them to reach any temp higher than enviromental, hrhrhr.
