View Full Version : Rejoining FA and FAnG
right guys listen up i've been in talks with Leff recently about rejoining the FAnG side of things and FA again.
What this means to you lot is not a whole lot the new version of FA.Com will be portal front end based with forums at the back forums will remain the same as current with perhaps a few other sections added ie: game and hardware reviews.
a fully integrated gallery and some more funky features you guys may like.
each fang clan/guild would have theyre own private forum section just like we have at current for the FA wow guild.
it'd mean a large increase in the number of users and hopefully build the community a little more. what i want to know is what do you guys think.
do you have any concerns or issues with reintroducing fang bearing in mind that it would remain a very much community and general gaming discussions site with most of the fang side of things being hidden from view.

I'd only support such a move since it would give FA more publicity and that can never be bad.
Together with hinch, a few years ago we founded FAnG (with LEFF etc) but in the course of time there was a split between some groups of players which basicly led to the current existance of 2/3 guilds/clans which in fact have the same roots.
I'm still involved in FAnG, I do play games with them as I do with FA here. Hence I'd only support this move. All in all, very little will change in most our teams, the only good that can come from this is that we might adopt some of their quality as they can adopt some of ours.
I like current easy-going style of f-a, with absolutelly no ideology nor belongship behind it.

What I think is most important IF we want to make this happen and work, is, that we focus on the things we have in common and dont mix together the stuff that we handle in a different way.
Both FA and FAnG have apart from many players that play with and know each other already a community with own boards, galleries, userprofiles, guestbooks, etc. As more ppl activly use these tools as more interesting it gets, especially if so many similar interest connect us.
What we handle in a different way is the gaming squads for example. We have FAnG squads in WOW, Planetside and Guildwars who mainly consist of totally addicted hardcore gamers. For sure the mentally of easy going would interfere with these squads if we made stupid mergers or threw our guilds and clans together here.... But thats simply not needed. Noone will be forced to play together with a bunch of nerds if he doesnt want to, and noone will be excluded if he feels like he fits in.
As well we have a group of FAnG members who currently just chat and spam the boards or IRC channels without playing any games at all...
Basically if we put our communities together everyone would just get more options to play, a larger community while noone needs to take part in stuff he doesnt feel interested in...

I agree ...
I for one use both boards. For Wow, it's obvious that I use this board because I'm a member of the FA wow team. But for Angels, which is again some subgroup of FAnG, we use the FAnG boards and tools (for which we're very greatfull btw LEFF).
Instead of merging tools, merging boards ... why not simply link both? make the navigation between both easier and share the non game related discussions that both the boards have.

yeah, they'll zerg our arcade..
Or put towels down on the Top 10 spots on the leader board so we can't get there
usually we just sleep with the admins and then get the to 10 spots without even playing...
We managed to get hold of Voya btw. He said in 2 weeks he has time to redo that design for us. He would work with the one I showed you if its possible and change / add whatever we want.
What really would help is a kind of layout what links we want, etc
