Planetside: Sony holds a special surprise for the ingame planetside community during the Offical SOE Fan Faire from Aug 2-5.

Based on a leaked video by a community member running under the nick 'secant' it is safe to say, that the upcomming Event will probably run as follows:
SOE Gamemasters and Devs together with the attendants of the Fan Faire will play as forth empire against a coalition of the 3 traditional empires. The used weapons and vehicles are standard vehicles with new textures. We expect 'them' to have a major health bonus to make up for the lack of numbers (and skill).
While the new uniforms and textures look interesting, it's more the announced aircrafts as the Galaxy Gunship and the long expected Stealth Bomber 'Phantasm' that make us want to have a second look at this event.
As well Sony promised a sword (yes, a sword!) as an ingame item for every visitor of the Fan Faire that pre-registered online with Planetside as primary game.
So I can't wait to see how that Sword performs against my Jackhammer :)
