Oi!

I'm having a little problem with my GF FX5700. I was bored so I wanted to
play X2-The Threat for a little while, but the requirements are so huge I
have to play it on a 800x600 resolution. Thing is - everytime I try to switch
to 800x600 (desktop and ingame), the screen goes black and the monitor
warns me that the frequency is not supported.

I already tried dxdiag to overwrite the standard frequency (even though
75mhz are well supported by both the monitor and gfx-card) to lower and
higher settings, tried to change it with the display controls and with the
Detonator driver. With no results.

Any ideas?

Last resort: Use Powerstrip http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm. Maybe will be able to override it.

try finding proper drivers for your monitor, the range settings within the Windows drivers might be incorrect (it set my monitor able to do 1600000000x12000000^3 or some shit like that once) ;)

New monitor drivers did it. Thx a lot
