View Full Version : Xbox almost back with me!
Finally... after 1 1/2 months my Xbox 360 should be returned today, or a new one in its place (not sure yet)
AoC really doesn't interest me that much anymore, might give it a go once in a while but tbh I doubt i'll play it with the same enthusiasm I did with WoW.
So, if anybody has their Xbox Live account up and running regularly (Hinch/Gro/Twist etc), i'll see you around there sometime this week.
I NEEDZ TO COMPLETE & GET GAMER POINTS ON ROCK BAND!!!!!!
i r don't have rock band :( though i did go round to a friends and complete expert for him other day cos he's feeble.
will do some gh3 head to heads with you though
I still need to complete GH2 & GH3 on co-op... Missing out on some serious gamer points atm...
For god sake, get Rock Band! I know it's a bit costly, but i'd say it is pound for £ (;)) the most fun title out of the lot.
Tbh, I use the GH3 wireless controller as I feel it reacts better. With RB2 coming out later this year, they are releasing new peripherals (sturdier and quieter, thank god cos the drums can be loud) & DLC will be backwards compatible so you won't lose out.
my main argument with rockband was the stupid little dashes for the buttons made getting timing right very hard. also they've reverted back to the gh1 and gh2 style hammers and pulls where you have to hit it exactly spot on for it to register unlike gh3 which is alot more generous with the window with which to hit them.
tbh GH4 is out soon and one of the key things for me is the ability to create our own tracks in it using a track editor. I'm planning on bringing over alot of hendrix's tunes tbh.
Rock Band made an insanely overpriced debut in the UK, hasn't even been released in the rest of europe yet but if they hold to the ridiculous pricing there's no way I'm dishing out, the game + peripherals was already costly enough - they didn't need to double its original cost when releasing the PAL version.
A friend of mine has GH3, finding it quite to my liking although I really want something involving drums. Heard GH4 and Rockband 2 are out later, as is a new competing title in the genre brought forth by Konami I think? Also heard rumors on making peripherals compatible between games, which should have been implemented already.
I'll be back on Xbox Live come late August, hopefully acquiring something new worth playing ;)

Surely that makes it a more interesting game, knowing that you need to be in top form to beat a song?
IT is rumoured that RB2 will have a song-editor aswell, they are also playing with the idea of an upload service that creates the keys on songs you add to the game - how they'd manage this and if it is even possible would be interesting to see.

Games companies only enjoy overpricing in the UK, so I wouldn't worry too much.
And yep, the compatability thing is said to work on both GH4 and RB2. I think the one draw to RB2 as i've already stated is that all the songs you have downloaded for no.1 can be used on it, saving a crap load of MSpoints
lies .. here in Germany Rock Band is 199 Euros .. price in US is 149,99 $, thats 115 Euros .. so we are actually paying 75 euros extra just because were German .. twats all of them
its like £150 over here thats $300 dollars :)
Meh, money is no object!
Just bought a few games on Gameplay.co.uk's sale that started at midday today.
Bioshock
Blue Dragon
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 (Legacy Edition)
The Club
All for £50, pretty damn good if you ask me.
Got my holiday to Cyprus in August/Cricket Tour to Yorkshire in September/Christmas/Barbados trip to watch England play cricket in February to save up for, which doesn't leave me much in the way of free cash to splash on Xbox games....
Saying that I will be purchasing:
Soul Calibur 4 (even though the Xbox gets Yoda, and not Darth Vader like the PS3, /cry!)
Star Wars - The Force Unleashed
Resident Evil 5
Fable 2
GoW 2
CoD: World At War
....and Spore (PC ofcourse)
So see you on Xbox live soon!
