Once the next content patch hits, i'll be changing from Mining to Inscription on my Paladin. Don't worry, i've already levelled herbalism on two characters to compensate for the materials.

If any1 happens to stumble across any patterns for it, could you pass them onto me/sell them to me/let me know etc.

Cheers, Ctp

New profession, makes scrolls and enchants that you can apply to spells/abilities

One of the most talked about features of the expansion really, lol

As I said, my PC is at the store for a month now so I haven't done or read up much about wow lately.

Also, when he said "patch", I just thought the following patchnote, not the expansion itself. As I assume that this new profession will only be implemented at WOTLK right?

So aside from buffs and pots, you can now also augment your stats with scrolls? (I know that was already possible, but not stackable) ... ?

No, it will be implemented in this patch, like Jewelcrafting was before. The only thing is you can't level past 375.

You make Scrolls, similar to the ones already in game. The main thing with Inscription is that you make scrolls to add to your SPELLS, so for example adding a bit of extra dmg onto a fireball.

It's basically the same as enchanting, only you don't enchant an item, you enchant your skills/spells. There's a certain number of slots for that. You get a new window in your interface to see your "glyphs", I saw it in the beta.

You can also make temporary buff scrolls, like the scrolls currently in game (i.e. Scroll of Agility V etc), a good buff boost for raids.

It was mentioned on the day they announced WotLK ages ago :p

It's a good thing now yes, as it is stackable with a buff. But before, you couldn't use a scroll of intellect and an Arcane Brilliance buff.

To Ctp ... no, that's not true. I'm a jewelcrafter and I could only start the profession when TBC got released. Since the profession teachers are in the new expansion. Perhaps here it's different.
