So my never stable always fucked PC is fucked again.

Constantly bluescreening and such windows recovery won't work all this after only being re-installed again on monday.

So I've lost my rag with it and gone and ordered a fuck load of new bits.

4GB (2x2GB) CorsairTwinX XMS3, DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9, NVIDIA EPP 2.0

EVGA 132-YW-E179-A1, NF790i SLI, S 775, DDR3 2000, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300, Yorkfield Core, S775, 2.5 GHz, 1333MHz, 6MB L2 Cache, Retail

320 GB Hitachi HDP725032GLA360 Deskstar T7K500, SATA 300, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 8.5 ms, NCQ (just for a boot drive got external HD for work stuff and spare 250gb drives for games)

896MB XFX GTX 260 XXX, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), Mem 2300MHz GDDR3, GPU 640MHz, 192Cores, 2 x DL DVI-I/ HDTV

250GB Freecom 29534 Classic, 1 x USB 2.0/1.1, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 9 ms

All at the lovely price of £880.35 :(

Did I mention FUCKING PC.

In the mean time I don't think you'll see much of me in war until the stuff arrives since I can't even get the current heap of shit to boot and I CBA reinstalling it for a 100th time.

Did you try switching it on and off?

So much for not using the nVidia chipset :p

Looks like a pretty mint rig though with those high bus speeds.

unfortunately it turns out only high end nvidia mb's properly support ddr3 atm and intels equivalent are fairly pants in their general spec.

so went for the top bollock nvidia hopefully its not shit this time.

Means you can use EPP which is pretty good, and potentially go over to SLI.

How many x16 slots does it have?

And if you've just joined us, we're wanking over hardware and crying into our drinking chocolate at our loneliness. At least we'll always be able to rely on hinch for a sympathy fuck.

I'd rather go for a 10k RPM drive for boot disk ;)
