I won't be joining you at karak - izor from the beginning atleast, I want to play on an open rvr server and kill people no matter where they are so I'm going to play with a couple of friends.

I did that as well, only my real life friends wanted a 'normal' server, which means I'm trying to divide time between an Open RvR and the normal server, and it's annoying. I hate seeing someone in the world, and not being able to attack them. Bah, bloody carebears, hehe. ;)

Fair enough, but you do realise that at cap when everyone is in the RvR areas you'll be in the same situation as us right?

That's okay. People are allowed to make mistakes. Just because I can spell and don't talk about pwnage all the time, doesn't mean PvE and safe zones don't make me vomit.
If you don't spell like shit and talk about owning, then how are people suppose to know that you are not a carebear?

There's no such thing as a PvE server in WAR, we don't see the point in going out of our way just to kill people whilst they level when anyone serious about doing PvP will be in a scenario or RvR area. Especially as T4, which is the last bracket in the game, is where all the fighting will be and most of the zones there are RvR areas where people should be fighting rather than running around griefing people in their own zones.
And the reference to WoW, PvP in WoW has always and will always be shit, so there was no point us devoting time to it especially when the majority of "lol i R pVper" on our server were dicks.

It boggles my mind why any pvper would want to try to justify RESTRICTING himself by rolling on a less-hardcore server.
What happens when an order boy rolls up on you while you're leveling? Target and /dance?
this game doesn't need pancy /dance commands. There is only WAR.
Usually when you meet someone you just go past them if you're questing because you cba to fight. If you're there to pvp, you'll probably be in a rvr lake where everyone fights anyway.

When everyone is capped, the levelling areas will be empty of the majority of players. I wouldn't find it fun to go hunting for lowbies just to stroke my e-peen, so there's no need for that to be possible.
Better to funnel all the players where the game is meant to be played so we can do some real PvP. It's a group based game after all, what's the point if you aren't fighting a group?

ive never heard of a war before where your enemy can just walk on by and you cant do jack shit about it, that's an interesting war.

everything you say above is true about pvp servers too so why restrict yourself???
i just dont understand it, but then again ive always supported hardcore mmo rulesets like there used to be. i dont see the fun in playing online and not watching your back and getting in random fights everwhere you go.

Well when there's nothing to lose then getting into a fight anywhere doesn't exactly achieve anything. Plus as its a team based game going after individual players doesn't achieve anything other than self gratification.
I'm all for proper PvP rulesets, but only if there's something to lose/gain from the outcome.

Pride means fuck all in an online game ... I put enjoyment over being able to brag about how great I am, anyday.
I'm not playing WAR but from what I can make up, the entire game evolves around RvR battles, meaning when pple are capped they will be spending their time there.
I don't see the point, like Avie, to waste your time in lowbie areas so that you can kill players half your level ...
But hey, in every game you got that particular sort of player that takes "pride" in killing players half his level ... I'm glad that WAR has servers that can prevent this behavior :)
No such thing as pvp / pve servers in WAR really, neither is one less/more hardcore than the other. The diff is simply; one is for people who like stroking their epeens while beating down others half their level, while the other is for people who want to get to level cap to be able to enjoy the real pvp without being hassled by noobs on power trips.
My definition of hardcore would be more along the lines of something like D2, once your character dies it's all over.. now that was intense shit.
