View Full Version : Where are those who made a commitment?

So, where are you?
Where are those who commited themselves to play WOTLK with FA and were all enthousiastic about returning and all?
I'm kinda surprised that a promise and a commitment for some means fuck all. The goal for reuniting FA was to play as a FA only team. But that is certainly not possible by the look of things.
I will not name any pple, but I'm sure they realise I'm talking about them. Basicly anyone who said they'd play WOTLK while not even being bothered to sign up for our forum section and therefor missing some required actions which we need to organise ourselves.
I'm somehow dissappointed in some pple here.

I think Kj's mostly referring to people who made big promises about coming back from other guilds to raid with FA and now that it's high time for taking actions, they ignore it or claim they'll come with their 5th alt when they're done raiding with the characters that actually matter for them.
Can't blame them when I think back on the bumpy ride we had in the past, but the point here is, why did they claim they'll be back from other guilds and active when they knew they didn't care enough to spend time on raiding together? :(
Come to think of it, I can't name anyone who's not coming back due to lack of time, it's either other guilds or other games. A few are trying WAR, a few have quit MMO's temporarily.
Well even a lot of the people trying/playing WAR aren't doing it with us either.

That's sad :/
But the social aspect aside, (and speaking out of my arse because I don't know WAR) it doesn't hurt so much in WAR than it hurts in WoW endgame, does it? I mean, having a strong lineup available every 3-4 evenings per week, does it apply to WAR too?
For now, we've got a very strong core for raiding but for taking the stress off those people and allowing some room for rotations, we could still use a healthy amount of extra raiders. It's always better to bring back old known players than recruit new people, but seems like we'll have to handpick a few to strengthen our lineup. And that's sad, because we'd like to play with guys that we know instead :/
Well if you don't have people on then your guild doesn't level and you don't have a presence in the game, plus without a strong base of active players (even if you've got 200 members and only 25 on a night, or 25 members and them all on) you stand no chance of holding a keep purely because of the upkeep and effort required to hold them.
I'd say it was less of an issue, because you can still do something no matter how many people you have, but it'd be more ideal to have a decent number of people on especially if they are people you know.
Got to say, it is pretty disappointing given the numbers that originally put their names down...
Ctp is right on this one. Maybe 7-8 active players right now, but i think many are waiting for the pack before theyre starting.
Well tht doesn't help at all, not knowing who we will have, what they will play, and when. We can't recruit effectively in the meantime
All it takes is for those people to come back and say "yeah, I will be back on XX day, or by XX date"

Welcome to Guild Leadership.
I've lead alliances years ago so I'm familiar with the tricks etc. Pple made a commitment, after I asked them specifically to ONLY reply if they're 100% certain. Because based on that, we'd decide what classes we need.
So I counted on those that made this commitment. Perhaps they should have thought more before making this commitment.
I'm not mad and I'd love all FA'ers to rejoin, but I am somewhat dissappointed in some. That's all.

Well, do the mats ...
11 FA'ers signed up ... 18 FA'ers promised a commitment. Of those 11 who signed up, 2 didn't even make this commitment yet still signed up. So infact 9 FA'ers made a commitment in the "10 man - List" thread who haven't bothered signing up.
I can name all 9 if you like, but I hope those which I'm speaking of realise it for themselves.
Guilty as charged.
I signed up for this, in retrospect, I probably shouldn't have. Because obviously, I wasn't 100% certain I'd join in.
But a lot of things has happened since.
RL is a bitch. Now more than before.
I have tried a bit of raiding since I said I'll join you in WotLK. Nausea is the word that comes to mind. Maybe that's because I wasn't part of the social side of raiding, or maybe there was none. Anyway, I haven't spoken to any FAer for months (my fault ofc) and thus, I do not know if it can be like the Karazhan raids last summer, which I were thinking of, when I first signed up for this. There everyone were fighting towards the same goal, having fun and progressing. Purple-vision, people sitting on skype talking shit about the people in raid, and worst of all the slackers... There was none of that.
I might come join you in WotLK, if you'll have me. But I cannot at this time say, if I'll have the time or the energy (Oh wait, I'm a lock... It's mana) to start raiding again. Because if I'm gonna start to raid with you guys again. It's gonna be in a manner where I can give it my all, so that I won't be the one destroying the game experience for everyone else.

Mmmk,
Then you shouldn't have made that commitment. We never forced you into anything, so it's somewhat dissappointing that we cannot count on those we assumed we could count on.
No hard feelings though.
Booney, we'd still love for you to rejoin us and raid with us. The door will always be open for former FA'ers. But understand that once we start raiding and have our dedicated raidingteam, you'll need to settle for a backup spot.
Unless ofcourse you rejoin us before we start raiding.
