Nine people from Thailand have been jailed for up to two-and-a-half-years for their part in exploiting women who were advertised in "online brothels". They are thought to have made millions of pounds from women trafficked from Asia to the UK for use in the sex trade.

Pete is not just a typical man. I knew him in NC also, and he was a legend then too. As for my self control, sure it goes a bit off sometimes, but I recuperate and learn from it. I'm by no means perfect, but that doesn't mean that I can't try to be the best that I can. Pixel is a 1 in a million girl, when you see someone like that who is cynical about the world and has lost faith in humanity it makes you want to reassure them that there are good people in the world. I tried to lead by example, but I fucked up as you are very aware of.
Pete, it's healthy to be able to release aggression and I get it. But it's a sad state of affairs when you can't control it when you need to. If you're angry, then go take up a contact sport like american football, boxing or MMA, or just get down to the gym and get rid of it by lifting some weights.

I think we also need to create a definition of what 'men' constitutes to each and every person here. Women have a tendency to fall for the same type of guys, even when they think they aren't. The same thing with men in regards to women.
The first people most, if not all, people fall in love with are their parents at the stage of infancy. This is a simple explanation as to why we seem to fall for the same type of person, in that something in our very first infatuation at the infancy stage compels us to seek out some, not all, of those factors that created the initial infatuation back then, which is why the person you fall in love doesn't necessary resemble your mother or father at first, or at all, but the chemical components are there.
Obviously, if you mess with some of the factors in regards to infancy or other things, everything changes. Things also change after 3-5 instances of grown-up infatuation, when you start to become able to direct the oncoming infatuation.

Absolutely, although it's a bit more complicated than that. I don't see how your post and mine are at odds at all, though, if you're directing the 'balls' line at me.
I slung the 'men definition' line out there, because every woman thinks men are idiots for different reasons, and it gives you some idea of whether or not any woman in question has been subjected to mostly one type of man or not. I think many women think men are pigs because they've only been affiliated with men that actually are pigs, hence the attempt at an explanation for why people fall for the people they fall for.
tbh, i know its not relevant to all men, but unfortunately from where im sitting, every time anything bad has ever happened to me in my life it has been a man that did it, whether that be step dad, boyfriends, etc...

If anything, my assumption is feminist. Sexism is derogatory, feminism implies to me empowering the gender in question, and given the general nature of women (my view of their nature, anyone else feel free to differ), they should only be disappointed by the meandering slowness of ascending morality during all of history. If evolution decides to give them a break, and in the bargain remove transgender attraction for them, then that surely is only empowering to the general nature of women, in that they'd be able to probably go further in 50 years, than we've come in the last 1.000 years, humanity as a whole.

From my experiance, ive noticed the following
Guys tend to have more guy friends than girl friends, as in friends who also happen to be girls.
Girls, esp. the "popular/pretty ones" tend to have more guy friends, foaming or not. They often have accelerated yet short lived friendships with other "popular/pretty" girls until they backstab each other and try to take the other one's friends.
Guys who have more girl friends, as in friends who are girls than guy friends are usually in the deep end of "metro" or the shallow end of "gay". Both of which are fine, im not in a position to judge nor do I want to.
Groups of guy friends, depending on their age or position in life tend to have different roles, or positions within that group, ie. the alpha male.
When we are little kids, the alpha male is usually the oldest or the biggest, once we are older, as in like, highschool hes the one who can score the most chicks and once we get even older hes the one who makes the most money or has the nicest car or the biggest house. The big jock from highschool who scored all of the chicks, if he works in a bar or something (not that there is anything wrong with that) sucks ass all of a sudden now that everyone has a college degree and a sweet bachelor pad with a jukebox. But as we get older the alpha male becomes less apparent.
When I graduated highschool, almost all of the girls hated each other, as far as I can tell they do not keep in touch with each other minus a few sporadic facebook things and what not.
The most high profile fights were cat fights.
On the otherhand, almost all the dudes are still friends and travel around meeting each other and stuff, a large amount of them have been best friends for over a decade.

yes carl, a lot of what u said makes a lot of sense, although i only have 3 friends* that i went to school with n they're all girls. i only have one male friend* ive known irl for 15+ years, and if we close the timeframe down a bit to 10 or 5 years that number only really gets over 10 or 15, but only just...

ok, I see your definition, obviously everyone here is going to have a definition of what a "friend" is.
For me its pretty easy, a friend is someone I can get shitfaced with, so I guess its easy for me to consider people I know from games like neocron and stuff "friends". (even though nc is full of assholes)
For me an aquaentencceces is someone whos name I know but I dont know anything else. Like a bouncer or bartender at a club or something.
What you describe for me at least, based on latin american culture would be a cousin(if we are similar age), uncle or aunt(usually old enough to be your parents), even if we arnt related.

Yes I like being a guy, it means that it's OK if I'm not always very talkative, it's viewed as OK that I spend a lot of time alone and it also means that I can be the protector. When I looked at that website, in pretty much every entry there's a valid reason for the woman to be angry at the guy. Maybe it's the way that society is heading in, because I see a lot of people from my generation who are like that. But then I look at my few friends, who would look after a woman and would never do anything to hurt them. I look at my dad, my granddad, my uncle, and his friends, all of them have had the same girlfriend/wife their entire life, they've looked after them, they treat them respectfully and those who have families have been there to raise their children to be good people. These are not the men who you read about on the website.
Now I know that my dad met my mum in a bar, but this isn't the good old days when you could meet nice people in bars. Because of the sheer amount of girls who are far too easy to fool, it creates an environment where bad men prosper and good men are few and far between. My advice would be to start going to join a book club and try to meet new people that way :D

We may be composed of atoms, but what's far more significant is the arrangement of atoms and their interaction with each other. It's such a complex network that I think that when you appreciate that, you don't see the human body as just another mass. Not only are we complex as individuals, but when you start factoring in the relation between other people it adds complexity on an entirely new scale. Then you can factor in time as well because we are the way we are due to what other beings have done in the past.
As for spreading like a virus, there's no denying that it was originally human nature to try to increase our population as much as possible. But over the years, through the passing down of ideas, we have broken free of this and now we are alive for whatever reason we choose to be alive for.
I don't know why I think of stuff like this, I really ought to be building a time machine to go back and not be a asshole to pixel. The thing that pisses me off about life is that once you've made a mistake then that's it, it's stuck there in the timeline of Universe forever. I feel sorry for whatever consciousness happens to inhabit my body if the Universe collapses and the events are repeated after a subsequent big bang. Here I go again...

But evolution has nothing to do with chance at all. It's called 'natural selection', survival of the fittest, of the most appropriate. Apply that to many millions of years, and you get a product that is too complex for the human brain to comprehend out of hand, something so good at its specific duty, but is still nonetheless just simple evolution over the course of a very long time. People give nature way to little credit. Creationists very often have no actual understand of biology at all. Yes, I'm an intolerant git.
