its an infraction based ban, when u get 10 or more infractions u are autobanned. infractions expire, so once enough have expired for u to be below 10 infractions u are automatically unbanned.

From what I've been told since I arrived here activity on the forum has increased significantly, but it appears that nobody is happy about what I'm doing.

As for increasing activity, that's a bit of an understatement as the forum was borderline dead when you came here.

If you want to make a proper omelette, you have to break eggs, and I say it's high time some eggs are broken.
The only thing is, I can't take you seriously because every time one of you has a go at me it is fundamentally flawed. If I was moderating with a personal agenda then surely this post wouldn't exist, you'd all be banned, and we'd only have sensible users on here? Whereas in reality, I'm here, not dishing out infractions to everybody who sneezes in my direction, not abusing power, not upsetting the person that owns the board, etc...
I tried doing it 'your' way, I had Pete telling me when to moderate his threads, Nish doing the same... that method got abused. I tried not moderating at all and joining in, and none of you liked that either, essentially you don't want a moderator, which unfortunately isn't going to happen.

You have moved posts around absolutley fine un offensive posts, then when confronted you say " ok yeah i'll move them back". Surely the reason to move them in the first place would be because they just wern't suitable in the first place therefore don't put them back?
I'm not botherd about having a Mod infact I think I was one of the people all for it, and I encourage this After Hours section back so the other sections could be moderated.

You've taken those as cries for assistance and gone and deleted posts. I could dip into the archives to find examples of where I've kept my own order, but I can't be arsed.
Pete is an arsehole and deliberately try's to be one so its no shock to me he's gotten a ban, I'd have banned him befor infractions got to 10. I don't have a long fuse and would rather act with a heavy handed approach than to get into an arugment with the guy that I know is pointless...

This place has always been renowned for it's verbal diarrhoea, it's what makes it good fun. There's no other forum I can go to where I can flame LiL T for being a retard, or post coronation street quotes with Nish. It's the natural way this community is and moderating it to force it out of it's natural state will never work. We'd all be sitting there having 'debates' and being nice to each other whilst deep down we would want to flame someone or say some random crap.
Many forums appear and die every week. You need a strong incentive and reason for participating in a community otherwise it dies. I'm sure you're all interesting people but for me, none of you are interesting enough to be enthralled in this forum and it's 'clean' discussions. Some interesting, sensible discussions pop up from time to time and that's great, but having to force more of them? Fuck all that.
The point is that it's fun and something to do. Despite FA being full of drivel, I've actually laughed out loud dozens of times at what's been said on here over the last few months. Fags need to stop taking the net so seriously sometimes.
Lets be honest here. Most of the discussion and activity on this forum in recent weeks is down to the following:
1). Flame wars.
2). Pixels moderation.
3). Pixel being hot so all of the nerds clamber over themselves to be in a discussion with her.
Much of it has been intertwined with shitty posts and flames which I've found rather enjoyable. If this forum is moderated too heavily though (it's borderline at the moment) then it will die a rapid death.

I can absolutely respect that, Crazy, and thanks for taking the time to write that. I also like some flaming now and again, but in later times it has (my opinion) gone so much overboard that there was nothing else here but stupidity and senseless posting. Senseless posting is good only, if there is at least a fair amount of reason involved as well, and I don't personally see that there has been much reason for the last 1½-2 years.
People I really enjoyed talking to, like Rince, Jernau and Beano (sorry if I left someone out) left a long time ago because of the amount of senseless idiocy. Those are the kinds of people I'd like to see more around here, but they only come around for a day or two once every 6 months now. That is why I'd like to see more sense here, and since the amount of nonsense has gone so much overboard that it's turning people away who have a different sense of humour, the kind of people who can flame each other in a way that is less adolescent, if you get my drift, then I'm all for that kind of sense being brought here, because apparently it's not a sustainable environment anymore in regards to new members (or other old NC'ers coming here), without some form of moderation being enforced.
Before any moderation was done here, we were down to a very few people who basically talked in circles, and jumped on any new member who dared to come into the public forum. What's the point of that? Do you expect the forum owner to leave 5 people talking crap? Of course not. It has gone on long enough. I agree wholeheartedly with LiL T when he says 'Mod this place to fuck'. :)
Of course anyone who liked having their personal playground where they could leap upon visitors, are going to be annoyed when this changed, but all I can say to that is a resounding 'Good riddance, and it's about time'.
