Erm...well...

Nice seats?

:p

Seriously tho, nice motor, just not my style...

vampire

Fuck off Mr Bond..... :p

MkVenner
01-03-2009, 01:02
Hey, Bond has DB's (or a Vanquish), I've only got the baby aston :p

Not trying to take the piss or anything, I've just never been into the whole mod scene (except for offroading and my Grenada, but that's different :p), and I'm not a fan of small cars in general, the most modifications I've ever done to a car is I put different wheels and exhaust on my old Vectra and 3 series back in the day. It's probably a great little motor, just not my style

It looks like

But I'm sure it's got a great personality.

Hahaha nice Vamp. Don't take driveways or speedbumps head on though! (I learned the hard way with my xB...fucking ground effects kit.)

WTF, pimped out civic parents bought you for 16th birthday?
Minimum rispek.

vampire
01-03-2009, 20:20
It's about as fast as a Porsche 911 Carrera? so it's not exactly a "pimped out kid's civic" but more of a performance tuned street car, and i happen to like Honda's having previously owned another. So the comments you guys make show lack of knowledge of the subject... :p

grindcore
02-03-2009, 00:38
Yeah, because sitting in a traffic jam with an eyesore that could theoretically go as fast as a Porsche 911 Carrera is so worth it xD

I kid, I kid!

I'd still have you round a track :p

Hahaha one day ok? :)

pixel
02-03-2009, 09:09
it looks ugly.

vampire
02-03-2009, 09:11
It most definately isn't ugly in the real... :)

pixel
02-03-2009, 09:13
I know you may be disillusioned by the fact it's highly modded + fast, but it's still ugly.

vampire
02-03-2009, 09:17
I don't think so myself, noone's said so in the real yet, so i do believe you either have a differentiating taste or do not appreciate the simple form factor of the EK series civic.

When you getting your DC5, talked to a guy who had one imported directly from japan, new from the factory.

pixel
02-03-2009, 09:25
well the problem with this is, that depending on where i move it may not be viable to get a car at all... so im waiting to see how the year plays out. and no, im not particually fond of your car, but i don't have to look at it every day so nvm.

vampire
02-03-2009, 09:32
A car is always viable, unless you like move to a country without roads, and even then you could get a landrover.

pixel
02-03-2009, 10:06
Not in big built up areas with little parking they're not...

vampire
02-03-2009, 10:17
so you'd rely on public transport completely? Oo

pixel
02-03-2009, 10:46
why not? I do atm...

Kjeldoran
02-03-2009, 13:57
No offense but that's just a hideous car, regardless of how quick it is and how nice it accelerates ...

pixel
02-03-2009, 14:11
^_^

Kjeldoran
02-03-2009, 14:21
^_^

I don't like modded cars nway. Unless it's a specific kit of a certain brand. Like the Alpine Sport kit on a BMW, or the S-Line kit on the Audi ...

Will take a few pics of my car in the next few days, Pixel. As I promised you this ages ago ;)

vampire
02-03-2009, 15:39
Hahaha, isn't it like in belgium that you so much as have a non stock shift knob your car doesn't get tru the yearly test?

Kjeldoran
02-03-2009, 15:44
Hahaha, isn't it like in belgium that you so much as have a non stock shift knob your car doesn't get tru the yearly test?

Yeah, it's infact hilarious. You see pple stripping down their car and adding the normal parts to it again for it to pass control.

Not that I bother, I drive company cars and new cars here don't need to go through control the first 5 years. And company cars are always new cars so ...

vampire
02-03-2009, 15:46
haha yeah i've seen people swap entire engines out yearly for that.

Hey, Bond has DB's (or a Vanquish), I've only got the baby aston :p

Or the white Lotus Esprit. I loved that car, but I also loved the corvette models from the seventeeth, when I was young. My taste has changed a bit over time, those are not really cars that I want to own now.
(edit: Ok, just checked, the newer Esprits have a bit softer shapes, so I'd prefer them over the Bond thing. I'd accept a yellow one like this as a birthday present http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASZBeSHhFqc lol. )

Well he had a few others too, I meant the Astons, he had a mustang, some BMWs, some Alfas, even a 2CV :p

You bought a paki car :(

vampire
03-03-2009, 18:13
Paki's dont have civics like this rofl.

ClUR
03-03-2009, 19:32
I can assure you, every paki drives a Civic exactly the same as that here.
Ask Hinch/Twist.. someone from around here.

MkVenner
03-03-2009, 23:12
They do round here too, if they can't afford a 206 lol

vampire
03-03-2009, 23:14
maybee same model, but the mods clearly differentiate it as being function > form. So it's not at all a paki civic cause they prolly can't even afford the recaro's or B18c if they sold their own organs.

Uh huh it's modded well Although I don't know why the front splitter is painted black?

"Contrast", it's ok ClUR, you and I both know men have no colour coordination

It's carbon fibre? And pixel takes the oppurtunity to show her loss of interest in tuning related matters and regained interest in bashing of men in every possible way rofl.

Quinn
05-03-2009, 12:37
I do not deny the performance, but as someone stated earlier, it's useless in daily traffic jams.
All those tons of plastic hanging around just looks hideous and kiddy style. Rule of thumb is the more attention went towards spoilers, rims and stickers, the less attention went towards engine, drive train, suspension, brakes and all stuff that actually affects performance (and I'm not talking about adding cone filter, machining down springs and painting brake jaws, coz that's still "optical tuning", just more dangerous)
This car simply doesn't look serious, exaclty like H2 and H3's scream "I'm not an offroader, I'm just a pretender".

vampire
05-03-2009, 12:47
All it has as "plastic" apart from standard is a type R rear lip and a Carbon Fibre front lip, these add to aerodynamics and track handling, it's not exactly like this for example:

http://www.newstylemotorsport.com/honda/civicEK/sil_EK.jpg

So that "tons of plastic" doesn't really apply, as they serve an actual use.

ClUR
05-03-2009, 12:55
Still, would look better completley white and all black interior not red.
Those Recaros could do with a wash too!
I'm really not a fan of Black wheels on anything, really annoys me.

vampire
05-03-2009, 13:08
Their quite good, type R Recaro's are fucking prone to damage somehow, might swap them for black ones when a friend gets some, but yeah imma clean them up.

Carl
05-03-2009, 19:06
Nice car, but its almost sleeper :D.

Something that you guys arnt taking into consideration is that this is a drivers car, its not easy to drive. if you want performance out of it you have to learn shift points based on speed, weight, revs, tires, inertia.

The hard coilovers (you dont machine springs, you get coilovers or atleast race bred tien springs if your car already has good suspension geometry) make it so that you can feel every bump and turn, when you hit the gas it keeps you pinned to your seat until you get to 5th or 6th gear, when you shift correctly the car jumps forward and the rear tires chirp. It takes a shitload of time and practice to drive a car like this to its maximum potential.

Tbh, only people with a crap car or a crap sense of cars would say or give a shit about it being "ugly".

Im not racing this thing in mine, its totally overpowered.

tbh.

The only thing that I know about cars is that I hate parking and if I block change gears properly I out-accelerate stupid people who are over-revving every gear.

Apart from looking like it's too close to the ground your car looks OK to my untrained eyes. How much was it?
